Gregory Wayne Strauss

Gregory Wayne Strauss, 57, passed away on Dec 1, 2017 at 4:30 pm at Cox Hospital In Springfield, Missouri from complications of a heart attack. He was born August 16, 1960 in StreamWood, Illinois. He moved to Morton, Illinois at the age of 14 and participated in many sports. He moved to Florida at the age of 18 to live by the beach. His family soon followed, moving to Tampa in 1979. He moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1999 and stayed there until his passing. He became a follower of Jesus Christ in 1998 and was active in his church. He shared his testimony with many. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tonya Melton Strauss, his daughters Christina Strauss and Dayna George, grand children Alexa Rivas, Kayden Strauss and Liliana.Also, his sister Susan Strauss Burge, multiple Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. His parents preceded him in death. He was a painting contractor and loved the Tampa Bey Buccaneers and playing golf. He was a wonderful husband, Papa, and brother. Memorial Service at Brookline Church of Christ on Wednesday December 6th, visitation from 1-2pm, service at 2pm. He will be cremated with burial at Maple Leaf Cemetery, date to be determined. Cremation under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri.
