Harvey Joe Meadows

Harvey Joe Meadows, age 83, of Walnut Shade, passed away in his home Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was born October 19, 1933, south of Ozark, the son of Joe Hansen Meadows and Leona June (Lewis) Meadows. On May 15, 1954 he and Ruth Velma Scott were united in marriage. Harvey retired from Reyco Industries. After retirement he drove a limousine for several years. He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 25 years. Survivors include: His wife of 63 years, Ruth; two sons, Scott Hansen Meadows and wife Shari, and Gene Austin Meadows; five grandchildren, Gabe, Heather and husband Jason, Brandon, Cassi and husband Mike, and Hannah; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers and their wives, Roy and Marilyn Meadows and Ray and Evelyn Meadows. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 5, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.
