Hilda C. Wootan

Hilda C. Wootan, age 90, of Ozark, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. She was born January 11, 1927 in Colonial Garcia, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Richard Kent and Hattie Mae (Brimhall) Farnsworth. On October 1, 1946, she and Charles O. Wootan were married in Tonopah, Nevada. The family lived in Arizona until 1969, when they moved to Seymour, Missouri. Eleven years ago Hilda moved to Ozark. While in Seymour she had served as President of the Senior Citizen Center. She along with her husband owned and showed quarter horses. Her husband of 48 years, Charles O. Wootan, preceded Hilda in death in 1994. She was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, and her parents. Hilda was a loving mother to her son, Charles Michael Wootan of Ozark; three grandchildren, Hunter Matthew Wootan, Brea Janae Wootan and Joshua Michael Wootan; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Raylen and Abel. A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 9, at Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
