JC Bradford

JC Bradford, age 83, of Galena, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. He was born June 22, 1933 in Ponce de Leon, the son of Willie and Louise (Perkins) Bradford. On May 14, 1952 he and Joy Burk were united in marriage. JC worked for the Springfield School System before retirement. He loved working on his farm, and enjoyed the beauty surrounding the area. He was a faithful member of Ponce Pentecostal Church, and blessed others through his singing. He was also a member of the Galena Masonic Lodge #515. A son, Rickie Lee Bradford preceded JC in death. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Bradford, Earl Bradford and wife Donna, and Clifford Bradford, a sister-in-law Viola Bradford, and his parents. Survivors include: His wife, Joy; a son, Mark Allen Bradford of Galena; a granddaughter, Melinda Renee Bradford of Nixa; two great-grandsons, Kyle and Kody Eutsler; two brothers, Junior Bradford of Highlandville, and Ralph Bradford and wife Joyce of Galena; a sister, Violet Dickenson of Strafford; and a sister-in-law, Leta Bradford. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 24, in Ponce Pentecostal Church with Pastor Gayle Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Ponce de Leon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
