Joni Rose

Joni Jean Rose February 22, 1963 - May 16, 2018 Joni Jean (Brecht) Rose, age 55, of Miller passed away at Mercy Hospital Springfield the evening of May 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 22, 1963 in Mt. Vernon, Missouri to the late Earl and June Brecht. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in May of 1981 and married her husband, Rick, shortly after. She worked as a paraprofessional in the special education department for Miller Elementary School from 1994-2006. Survivors include: her husband Rick, two children, Ashley Wallace and husband Matt, Megan Rose; Brother Steve and wife, Sandy; their son Craig Nelson, wife Michele and their sons Corey, Dane, Dylan and his wife, and Dalton; their daughter Stephanie Maltby and husband Rich, their daughters Brynn and Carys; Brothers-in-law Jim Darter and family; Jerry Reynolds and family; Nieces Rhonda Montgomery, Lisa Abbiatti, Kristi Sherrill, Staci Leach and their families; mother-in-law Elveda Rose; brother-in-law David Rose, his wife Tina; Nephew Dustin Rose and wife Sam, their children Wade, Kirklin and Randall; additional nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Preceding Joni in death: parents Earl and June Brecht; Father-in-law Dwain Rose; son-in-law Michael McGlocklin; nephew Kirk Rose; and sister Janet Reynolds. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 26, 2018 at 10am at Round Grove Church in Miller, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association for heart disease and stroke research. Cremation is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
