Kathleen Gilbert

Kathleen Gideon Gilbert, age 81 of Oldfield, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. She was born April 26, 1933 in Reeds Spring, the daughter of Lester and Hila Pauline (Jackson) Gideon. On July 3, 1950, Kathleen was united in marriage to Paul "Brownie" Gilbert. Kathleen worked as a seamstress at Hagale Industries before her retirement. She was a member of Oldfield Full Gospel Church. Survivors include: three sons, Rick Gilbert and wife Teresa, Kenny Gilbert, and Danny Gilbert and wife Nena, all of Oldfield; a daughter in law, Connie Gilbert, of Sparta; eight grandchildren, Jason and wife Amy, Justin and wife Tabatha, Josh and wife LeAnna, Jeremy and wife Candra, Ashley and wife Amy, Christal and husband Mark, Eric and wife Maggi, Cody and wife Megan, and Shyann; many great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; a brother, Robert Gideon and wife Bessie; and other relatives and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Larry Gilbert; an infant son, David Eugene Gilbert; two sisters, Mona Shipman and Betty Payne; and four brothers, Jerry Gideon, Dean Gideon, Ron Gideon and Eldon Gideon. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Jeremy Gilbert officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday before the graveside service.
