Maxine Bolin

October 6, 1922 — April 28, 2015

Maxine (Murray) Bolin passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Mercy Hospital with family by her side at the age of 92. She was born October 6, 1922 near Pleasant Hope, MO., the fifth of twelve children, to William O. (Ott) Murray and Gola Mae (Sallee) Murray. On January 6, 1944, in Ozark, Maxine and Claude Bolin were united in marriage. With World War II raging, it was a very uncertain time to start a marriage. But by the grace of God, Claude returned from the war and they were blessed to start their 71 year loving honeymoon. To their union three children were born, Larry, Eugene (Gene), & Marsha. Maxine is survived by her husband, Claude, of their home in Highlandville, children Larry and wife Debra of Springfield, Eugene (Gene) and wife Phyllis of Nixa, Marsha and husband Darrell of Highlandville. She is also survived by her brothers Gene Murray, Pleasant Hope, Jack (Patsy) Murray, Billy (Sue) Murray, Springfield, sisters Peggy Jones, Pleasant Hope, and Betty (Ralph) Trentalange, White Hall, Pa., sister-in-law Mary (Bob) Donham, Nixa, brother-in-law Roger (Betty) Bolin, Highlandville. Maxine is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren, 3 step great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other family members and special friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Roscoe, Jim, John, Fred and sisters Ruth and Janie, great-granddaughter Hope Clemons and daughter-in-law Tanna Bolin. Maxine accepted Christ as her savior at a young age and was a member of First Baptist Church of Highlandville. She enjoyed attended church services until her health declined. Maxine loved listening to gospel music and listening to gospel songs by all local groups. She loved to garden, can green beans and veggies, plant flowers, sew, quilt and fill their home with love. She enjoyed reading, even as her eye site failed. Maxine was born in a family of love and she loved her family so very much. She was a wonderful loving, wife, mom, sister, loving and protecting grandma to all her grandchildren that she loved so very, very much. She will be lovingly missed by all her family and friends. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospital Hospice unit, Dr. James Duff and Dr. Albert Leonardo for the compassionate, loving and gentle care given Maxine during her hospitalization. May God richly bless and strengthen each one who provided care during our time of need. A funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 1, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa with Rev. Travis Edwards and Rev. Les Day officiating. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Highlandville, MO or Melody (Downing) Gengler (granddaughter) double transplant fund.
