Ricky Gene Pummer

Ricky "Rick" Gene Pummer, age 59 passed away on the evening of December 8, 2015 at Mercy West hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Rick was comforted by family and friends at the time of his passing. Rick was born on February 29th, 1956 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Rick was the first born son of Louise Lynn and Clyde Soverns. He was the oldest of three adopted children by Lyle and Arlene Pummer. Loved ones will remember Rick for his caring nature, his generous spirit, and his love of westerns. Memories of Rick will be cherished by his brother Tim and wife Janice; his sister Jan and brother-in-law Terry; (Everytime they go fishing and it suddenly downpours or the boat won't start, Rick will be remembered. He will also be remembered for his playful teasing with his nieces and nephews. His brother Tim will cherish the memories they spent bowling on league. Rick and his nephew Mike shared a love of tinkering with lawn mowers and small engines. Rick found comfort and companionship from his dog, Sami. Rick was preceded in death by his father Clyde Soverns and his niece Tara Lee Huss. Rick is survived by: his children, Ricky Pummer and Regina Barnes; his sister, Janice Brown; his brother, Tim Pummer; his parents, Lyle and Arlene Pummer; parents, Louise and Daniel Lynn; his step-mother Rosemary Soverns; half brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many other family members. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at the home of Lyle and Arlene Pummer, Springfield, Missouri, with Pastor Debra Huss officiating. Arrangements under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
