Rose Marie Buck

Rose Marie Buck, age 75, of Chesterfield passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. She was born June 5, 1941 in Cabool to James and Eva (Montgomery) Rimel. After graduating Cabool High school in 1959, Rose earned a Bachelor's degree at Longbeach State in CA, and a Master's in Education at the University of Missouri. She was a high school teacher for 28 years. She was united in marriage to John Buck August 1, 1987. Rose was an active member of the American Association University of Women and served as President of her local chapter. An involved member of Gateway Church, Rose also enjoyed numerous overseas bicycle trips. Rose is survived by her husband, John; a daughter Christine Uber, her husband Chad, of Nixa; two grandchildren Jake and Nathan Uber, of Nixa; and a sister, Joyce Sponsler, of Springfield. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Jerry Roberts. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Cabool Cemetery, Cabool, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Memorial donations may be made to American Association of University Women or Alzheimer's Association.
