Ruby Stutesmun

Ruby Viva Stutesmun, age 84, of Highlandville, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was born May 15, 1932 in Omaha, Arkansas, the daughter of Joe and Elsie (Sears) DeLong. Ruby retired from Fasco Industries. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. Ruby attended Craig Hollow Church. She loved to sing and visit with her friends. Survivors include: Two daughters and their husbands, Janice and David Hembree of Highlandville, and Vicky and Tim Lewallen of Highlandville; two grandchildren, Crystal Chapman and husband Randy, and Jamie Lewallen; four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Chapman, Calvin Chapman, Blaze Cowan, and Zayne Cowan; a sister, Mary Faddis of Harrison, Arkansas; and a brother Junior "Bill" DeLong of Ozark. Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Anderson, her second husband, Max Stutesmun; four children, Robert, Roberta, Glenda and Carl Anderson, and a granddaughter, Samantha Cowan. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 3, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
