Samuel Eugene Wathen

Samuel E. Wathen passed away Noevember 22, 2015. He was born February 20, 1949 in El Dorado, Illinois, the son of Jim and Doris Lovell Wathen. Survivors include his wife, Rillis; step kids Stormy, Scott, Sarah and Camas (Sarah and Camas from previous marriage, loved just the same;) two grandsons, Xavier and Christian who he deeply loved and liked to get into mischief with them. (His favorite was "don't tell gramma" even though I could always hear him.) Survivors also include a sister, Cindy Hampton and two nephews, Travis and Lucas whom he was proud of. He was an honest man and liked by all who met him. He chose to live away from people due to having PTSD. He served two years in Vietnam and was very proud of his service. He loved the northwest and was a forester/logger. He was a kind, complex man. He is deeply loved and has left a hole in all of our hearts.
