Willa Mae Wright

January 11, 1933 — March 5, 2016

Willa Mae (Still) Wright, daughter of the late Louis and Edna Pearl (Williams) Still, was born on January 11, 1933, the third of seven children in Flippin, Arkansas and departed this life on March 5, 2016 at James River Care and Rehabilitation, Springfield, Missouri. Willa was 83 years of age. Willa began her school years in a country school in Maumee, Arkansas, a small town outside of Marshall. The family later moved to Mansfield, Missouri where Willa continued her schooling. Willa had lived in the Springfield, Missouri area since the late 1980's and has made her home at James River Care and Rehabilitation in Springfield, Missouri since June 2007 where she was living at the time of her passing. Willa stated that her greatest moment in life was when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in the late 1970's. She shared what Jesus had done in her life at every opportunity and learned to trust him for all of her needs. She gave God credit for providing her home at James River Care and Rehabilitation on June 8, 2007. After receiving Christ, Willa considered herself an "over comer" as in the scripture, "everyone born of God overcomes the world" 1 John 5:4. Willa had a heart for the Born Again Jewish people and requested, in lieu of flowers, persons may contribute to the International Christian embassy in Jerusalem, by way of the funeral home or she said, "feed a hungry child." Willa was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Magdalene Varner, Helen Henry, and three brothers-in-law. Willa is survived by two children a son Arthur (wife) Patten, granddaughter, Asia, and daughter, Deborah, all form the state of Georgia. Also surviving are one sister, Linda Kay (Norman) Shaw of Ozark, Missouri, three brothers, Louis (Bobbi) Still of Ozark, Missouri, Willard (Betty) Still of Waco, Texas and Frank (Kathy) Still of Nixa, Missouri, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and very dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Josh Hall officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mansfield Cemetery.
