Alyce Ann Dennis

Alyce Ann Dennis, the youngest of five children born to Barton and Marie Florea was born December 28, 1928 and reared in a devout Christian home. When Alyce was about 12 years old she was baptized into Christ. She married Thomas Dennis on Sunday, April 11, 1948 in her parents' home. To this union three children were born: Suzanne was born in 1950, Stephen in '51 and Sondra in '52. The family lived on an acreage near Mt. Ayr, then moved to the Des Moines area in 1967 while the children were all in high school. After the children all married and left their parents' home, Tom and Ann continued to live in Des Moines until moving to Nixa in 2004. While in Des Moines and while in Nixa, Ann was a member of the TOPS organization for a number of years. She was a member of the Church of Christ from her youth. Ann passed from the earth life, Friday, April 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers; two sisters; and one grandson. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Dennis; her three children; Suzanne Williams and husband Roger, of Kimberling City, Stephen Dennis and wife Cynthia of Monett and Sondra Johnson and husband Paul of Nixa; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be from 2-3 P.M. immediately before the funeral service. Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mt. Ayr, Iowa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Compassus.
