Annie Marie Maples

Annie Marie Maples, age 89 of Highlandville, died Sunday, January 26, 2020. She was born October 26, 1930 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Roscoe Lee and Nettie (Scott) Hays. On July 22, 1948 Annie was united in marriage to Omer Glen Maples who preceded her in death on August 10, 2007. Survivors include: five sons, Larry and Alma Jo Maples of Nixa, Garry Maples of Highlandville, Eugene and Tracy Maples of Spokane, Paul and Lisa Maples of Highlandville and Gale and Deanna Maples of Highlandville; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Boyd of Norman, Oklahoma and Carrie Rollin of Lake Havasu, Arizona. In addition to her husband Glen, Annie was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Dustin Andrew Maples; three brothers, Robert, Roscoe and Paul; and a sister, Gladys. Annie was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and more recently attended Jamesville Missionary Baptist Church. Annie had worked at and retired from FASCO and General Electric. Annie greatly enjoyed flower gardening. She also loved working jigsaw puzzles and making pictures from them. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Allen Maples and Pastor Rick Washam officiating. Burial will follow at Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 A.M. immediately before the funeral at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International.
