Charles Frederick Behrens

Charles Behrens, age 76, of Nixa, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was born in St. Louis, MO October 29, 1937, to Fred and Cora (Hill) Behrens. Charles served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Carol Fels, June 13, 1959. Charles had his own remodeling company, and considered himself a handy man. He liked to have fun, was outgoing and he was a "wise cracker". Charles was a Cardinals fan, a Busch Beer drinker, and a dancer. Every Saturday he and his friends would gather in his garage and enjoy conversation, and the games on television. Charles loved his family and especially his grandchildren. Charles is survived by His wife; his two daughters, Chris Richardson, and her husband Bryon, of Nixa, and Linda Maggi, and her husband Greg, of Battlefield; a brother Richard Behrens, and his wife Leona, of St. Louis; Grandchildren Dylan and Justin Richardson, of Nixa, and Kyle and Mallory Maggi, of Battlefield. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson Logan Richardson. A visitation will be held from 4:00 Pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, August 10, 2014, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 11, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark. Burial will follow at McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery, Nixa
