Danny Clinton

d. July 20, 2019

Danny Ray Clinton, 64, of Ozark, passed away July 20, 2019 in his home. He was born July 19, 1955 in Ozark, Mo. to Chester "Bub" and Helen (Baty) Clinton. Danny was a lifelong resident of Ozark and was a shining example of someone who loved to serve his community, any way he could. Danny was a 1973 graduate of Ozark High School where he participated in football, basketball and track. He was the first certified Paramedic for the Christian County Ambulance District. Danny was employed as a deputy and dispatcher for the Christian County Sheriff's Office and later became the first 911 Director for Christian County, where he worked many years. He also had served on the Ozark Volunteer Fire Department. His greatest joy came from being a score keeper for the Ozark High School ballgames and the US Baseball Park. The positive influence and guidance he provided made a huge impact on the players and coaches that he worked with. During the Christmas season, Danny enjoyed being Santa's special helper at the Baldknobbers Theater in Branson for several years and later at various malls. He was a member of the Fremont Hills Baptist Church. As a devout Christian, he was always eager to witness and share his abiding faith and love for his Lord and Savior with those he came in contact with. Danny is survived by a niece, an aunt, several caring cousins and a multitude of loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Cecil. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 10 am at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. A special Celebration of Life for Danny will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ozark Tigers Baseball in care of Ozark High School, P.O. Box 166, Ozark, Mo. 65721.
