Darrell Lundberg

February 29, 1944 — July 12, 2017

Darrell Lundberg was born on February 29, 1944 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was the youngest child of A.C. and Lilly Lundberg, both from Norway. Darrell and Diane had two children, Scott Lundberg of Little Falls, Minnesota and Laurie Lundberg of Springfield, Missouri. Darrell had three sisters: Marilyn, Cookie and Loraine, and one brother Conrad. Darrell grew up on a farm with horses, goats and cattle. On January 18, 1963 he married his high school Sweetheart, Diane Swedberg, also from Detroit Lakes. Darrell started working for the Ford Motor Company in August 1965 and was a member of the UAW. He retired from Ford in 2000. Darrell and Diane then moved to Branson from Kansas City. Darrell had always been an avid fisherman but after moving to Branson he learned the art of Fly Fishing. Darrell said there was nothing like it! He loved it. Darrell became a fishing guide and helped individuals from all over the United States who came to Branson enjoy the art of Fly Fishing. Darrell had countless friends in and around Branson who he fished side by side with and loved every minute of it. In the near future (TBA) there will be a service at the river in honor of Darrell and the place he loved to be.
