Elois Tate

Elois Tate passed from this earth June 5, 2016 at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 29 days. Elois was born October 7, 1931 in Pooghkeepsie, Arkansas, the daughter of Hugh and Artie Smith. Elois married Elbert Tate in Bozeman, MT October 15, 1988. Survivors include: her husband, Elbert Tate, Nixa; two sisters, Ina Mae Johnson and Verna Sue Calkins, Hastings, Nebraska and a brother, Wilson Smith, Denver, Colorado. Elois was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Don Shirley; three brothers, Danny Smith, Wesley Smith and Billy Ray Smith. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Another visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 in Emerson Funeral Home Jonesboro, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Bono Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Bono, Arkansas.
