Esta L. Markus

Esta L. Markus, of Ozark, MO passed from this world on 9/28/2016 at Glendale Gardens Springfield, where she had resided this past year. She was born July 24,1932, in Dodge City, KS to Wilbur and Fern Black. She grew up in Dodge City and attended school there. On March 1,1949, she married Joseph Markus in Dodge City. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 1, 1999 at Riverside Inn at Ozark. Joseph preceded Esta in death in 2004. Esta was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. She was a member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Survivors include 3 sons, Mike, Larry and Mark, 2 daughters, Karen Trimble and Kathy Wimsatt and husband Gene. Also surviving granddaughters Brenda Marshall and husband Terry, Linsey Atkins, Jill Coughran and husband Shawn, Tiffany Brown, grandson Justin Wimsatt, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Esta is preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 5 brothers, 1 grandson, and 1 great grandson. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 pm Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
