Gilbert Andrew De Leon

Gilbert De Leon III, age 37, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015. He was born August 13, 1977 in San Diego, CA to Gilbert and Judith (Aldridge) De Leon, II. Gilbert work in both commercial and residential construction. He was working at both of the new Casey's stores in Nixa, and also one in Joplin. His family describes Gilbert as fun-loving and a risk taker. He loved to fish, most of which was from the banks of the lake and he liked to swim in the lake as well. Gilbert liked to go "mudding" in his old four wheel drive pickup truck. Gilbert is survived by his daughter Lindzey De Leon of Riverside, CA; grandparents, Jerry and Bonnie Aldridge, of Nixa; a half-brother Daniel De Leon, of FL; two half-sisters Jessica and Melanie, both of CA; a step-mother Linda, of CA; two aunts Lisa and Vickie, both of CA; and one great-great aunt Edith Sowash, of Nixa. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
