Herbert Wayne Lien

Herbert "Herb" Lien, age 85, of Billings passed away Sunday October 4, 2020. He was born July 2, 1935 in Iowa City, Iowa to Oliver and Geraldine (Eden) Lien. He was married to Joanne Schwerin for over 60 years when he lost her to cancer. They had two daughters Debbie and Sheri. He spent his life being a much beloved teacher and principal for over 30 years. Herb married Kathleen Dodson in 2011. He has been active in his church and has been an elder in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nixa. He is survived by his wife Kathi; his daughters Debbie Gerard, her husband Jim and Sheri Whitcomb, her husband Allen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and his parrot, Peaches. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
