Jimmy Kent Gahagan

Jimmy Kent Gahagan, age 69, of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019. He was born July 9, 1950 in Springfield, the son of Jimmy and Mary (Schupbach) Gahagan. Jimmy received his bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Missouri State University in Springfield. In December 1976, he and Brenda Loucks were married. Survivors include: A daughter, Sara Lindsey and husband Matthew, and their son, Breck; two sons, Brian Gahagan and Barry Gahagan; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Mary Gahagan; and his wife, the love of his life, Brenda Gahagan. Jimmy devoted his life to serving in the U.S. Navy, his career in Agriculture, and most of all, his family. Jimmy was truly devoted to his family and was committed to their happiness. Seeing his family happy made him happy. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, he loved to help others. His grandson Breck made him immensely happy and he treasured him. Jimmy is very deeply missed. Memorial donations in Jimmy's name may be made to Ozark's Food Harvest. The family of Jimmy would like to say "Thank You" for all the acts of love and kindness shown to them. Your expression of sympathy will always be remembered. A graveside funeral will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 9, at Selmore Cemetery, south of Ozark under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
