John Manning Donegian

John Manning Donegian, age 85 of Nixa, went home to rest with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2014. He was born December 4, 1928 in Detroit, the son of Manoug and Mildred Donegian. John served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. On August 17, 1949, he married the love of his life, Lucille Nicholson in Louisiana. Together, they had two children. He was a member of IBEW Electricians Union for 35 years. John enjoyed spending time with his family and had a wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include: his loving wife, Lucille Donegian of Nixa; his daughter, Barbara Mamach of Chicago; his son, Terry Donegian and wife Brenda of Chicago; two grandchildren, Jared Donegian and Alex Mamach; two great grandchildren, Parker and Charleigh Donegian; and a brother, David Donegian of San Diego. John was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lieutenant Robert Parker. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 31, 2014 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa Memorial donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church - youth organizations.
