Margaret E. Halcomb

January 31, 1939 — April 19, 2020

Margaret Elizabeth (Cole) Halcomb (81) of Mountain View, Missouri, our mother and grandmother, passed away and has gone home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 19, 2020 rejoining her parents David Lee Cole Sr. and Margaret Etta (Ours) Halcomb and two of her sisters, Elsie Mae Cole and Jessie Lee Cole. Margaret was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on January 31, 1939. She married James A.B. Halcomb on October 23, 1964 in Huntington Park, California. She spent all of her life serving her children and grandchildren and serving other people in her community where she lived. She belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she faithfully served until the end. She loved reading the good word in the scriptures and seeking out her Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ through prayer and action. She will truly be missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and community. Margaret is survived by her husband James, children Betty Bennett (Vincent), Bonnie Halcomb, Margaret Trader, John Halcomb (Debbie); and step-children Barbara Ibarra, Angela Longboat, Ricky Halcomb (Jody), Paul Halcomb (Hiromi) and her brothers David Cole Jr. and Michael Cole Sr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with High Priest Vincent Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Condolences may be sent to the family at vincebetty@digis.net or online at www.adamsfuneralhome.net. The funeral service for Mrs. Halcomb will be held for family members only, at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in order to comply with health safety measures set forth by the governor, the county and the city. To help protect our community and those we serve, we will be following safety practices as we navigate this ever changing situation with COVID-19. As of March 23, our governor implemented a 10 person limit at gatherings which includes funerals. We will be working with families to create opportunities to honor their loved ones while keeping them and the public as safe as possible. Please check the obituaries on our website for specific information about each service. Because of the fluidity of this situation, our practices may need to continue to change. We will do our best to update the public to those changes. Working together with our community we hope will help bring a swifter end to this challenging and concerning situation. As always, if there is anything our staff can do to help community members or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. May God bless you all.
