Martha Turton

On December 31, 2016, after a long life, (94 years) our beloved mother, Martha Turton, passed into heaven to be with God and the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Turton, her parents, Walter and Junie Maze, her sister, Ethel Barclay Hicks, brother-in-law, Charles Hicks, and her much loved nephew, Michael Barclay. Those surviving are: daughter, Nancy Bowman (Mike) of Richmond, Texas; son, Larry Turton of Highlandville, Missouri; grandchildren: Michelle Bowman Howard (Greg) and Brent Bowman of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren: Mackenzie and Morgan Howard, Cameron and Christian Bowman. Martha's family was everything to her. Bob was her true love and best friend. They were married for seventy years until his death, June 13, 2009. Martha taught her children the value of family, trust, honesty and respect for everyone. The events and life experiences of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her much joy and happiness. Martha and Bob were owners of Rexall Drug in Ava, Bridal Illusion Veils and Accessories and Bridal Illusion Bridals in Springfield. Per her request, Martha was cremated.
