Mary Lou Mease

Mary Lou Mease, age 86 of Ozark, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born June 3, 1929 in Phillipsburg, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas Walter and Verla Agnes (Rose) Caffey. On April 19, 1959, Mary Lou was united in marriage to Frank Isiah Mease. Frank preceded Mary Lou in death on May 12, 2014. Mary Lou was saved at the age of 12 in Colorado. She became a member of High Street Baptist Church in Springfield in 1951. Mary Lou worked at Lily Tulip in Springfield for ten years until 1961, when she became a fulltime homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and raising farm animals. Survivors include: three daughters, Lonna Schupbach of Nixa, Lisa Burns and husband Les of Ozark and Lori Cloyd of Republic; nine grandchildren, Amanda Idell and husband Jason, Nikki Keith and husband Adam, Michael Schupbach, Emily Schupbach, Jeremy Burns, Jason Burns and wife Tamara, Jordan Braden and husband Bryan, Jared Burns and Ryan Cloyd; five great grandchildren, Olivia Schupbach, Gage Idell, Kherington Braden and Bailey and Rylea Cloyd; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lloyd Caffey and wife Virginia and Leonard Caffey; and her sisters, Pauline Caffey and Edith Henry and husband Bill. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor George Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
