Paul Max Arnold

August 2, 1950 — June 10, 2014

Paul "Max" Arnold, age 63, of Nixa passed away Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Springfield. Max grew up around the Willard-Walnut Grove area. Max worked for his Dad at Arnold's garage for several years and then went to work for Kraft Foods in Springfield where he retired after 30 years in 2007. Max was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. He attended Nixa Church of the Nazarene for the past several years. He was a member of the Classic Chevy Club of Springfield and a past member and secretary-treasurer of the Greene County Coon Hunters Association. He was also a past member of the American Red Bone Coonhound Association where he served on the board of directors and secretary-treasurer. His parents James and Ruby; brother Rolland; grandparents Levia and Anna Arnold, and grandparents Earl and Ruby Brown preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Barbara "Sue" (Swearengin) Arnold; sister Margaret Arnold McMellen; daughters Melinda McGuire and friend Brad, Crystal and Ransom Proctor of Aldrich, Lori and Daniel Call of Springfield; son Dusty Arnold and friend Kim, Willard; two stepsons and daughter-in-law (Bryan, David and Dana Neuenschwander), step-mother Mary Arnold of Willard; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Mary Swearengin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ritch and Diane Kisner, Bob and Kay Fleming, Gary and Jennifer Swearengin, and Eddie Swearengin. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, June 13, 2014 at Nixa Church of the Nazarene. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Church. Interment will follow the funeral service at Rose Hill Cemetery, Willard.
