Thomas J. Canter

Thomas J. Canter, age 67 of Nixa, died Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born December 8, 1951 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Lola (Kelly) Canter. Thomas served his country in U.S. Army until his retirement. He was a Mason and member of Friend Lodge #352 A.F. & A.M.in Ozark. On June 15, 2002 Thomas married Karen Roberts. Survivors include: his wife Karen; Children, Lola Canter, Thomas Canter and wife Debra, Donna Tatum, Austin Story and wife Erin, Michelle Pender, Dana Roberts and Katalina Mitchell; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; one great grandson; one great granddaughter; three sisters, Loretta Carr, Irene Schlick and Buretta Malene. He was preceded in death by his parents and other siblings. A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Evangel Temple, 2020 E. Battlefield Road Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
