Velda Markland

Velda Hatch Stalker Markland was born February 9, 1934 in Yates Center, Kansas. She passed away January 4, 2014 at the age of 79, in Nixa, Missouri. Velda was proceeded in death by her first husband Jack Ray Stalker, her parents Helen Doyle Hatch and FM Hatch. She is survived by her sister Elaine King of Kingwood, Tx. Her three children: Jonathan Markland (Jacquelyn) Pueblo, Co; Candra Schauer (Kevin) Nixa, MO; Carl Markland Sacramento, Ca; and Casandra Markland, Sacramento, Ca. She delighted in her grandchildren: James, Jonathan, Hannah, Ryan, Kirk, Aric, Kyle, Alicia and Natasha. She has five great grand children: Faith, Luke, Elliott, Jackson and Jack. Velda accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a very young age and served him all her life. She used her beautiful voice to minister in Church and weddings. Memorial service will be held Monday January 13, 2014, 10:30 am in the Clark Chapel at James River Church, Ozark, MO. Cremation under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa
